There is finally a light at the end of the tunnel...

Tomorrow is March 1st, the official kick off to the house hunting season according to my friend Diane in the relocation department at work. I can not even begin to tell you how excited I am to finally put our house on the market and buy our dream home. I have been making hundreds of lists what I want to do to make this house look it's best to sell. I know I have made post after post of all the bad luck we have had this winter with our house. It has been a rough winter but our house is actually quite nice. When Jeff bought it five years ago, it had all neutral decor which is a huge plus for a house built in the 1950's, brand new neutral carpeting throughout, and a huge master bedroom and kitchen. I can recall five years ago when Jeff and I first started dating trying to help him look for a house to buy. I remember looking at crappy house after crappy house. It was so discouraging. When we finally found this house, it was like we had won the lottery. We have grown a lot since then and are now ready to move onto the next chapter in our lives, a new house with hopefully a new baby to fill it with. We are officially putting our house on the market in a few weeks so wish us luck in our new and exciting adventure!!!!

I wanted to share pictures from Lynne's wedding! The ceremony took place at St. Patrick's cathedral in Ohio City. The church was built in the 1800's and is absolutely beautiful. The reception took place in the Old Arcade in downtown Cleveland. We stayed in a hotel room downtown as a little winter getaway with the rest of our friend's. It was a wonderful day despite another 6 inches of snow after a foot and half already fell earlier that week.

Trista and Ryan Sutter are Expecting!

and Ryan Sutter are expecting their first child! They seem like the real deal and I loved watching their love story unfold on TV. I hope they will keep us posted on how things go for them, I couldn't be happier for them !

Pictures from last week's storm

I am finally getting around to posting pictures from last week's winter storm. Mentor officially had 20 inches of snow!!! We had snow drifts higher than my waist!!! The craziness all started last Tuesday. Since Jeff, my sister, and I all work for the same company, Jeff came across town from his building to pick up my sister and I. My sister decided to spend the night to avoid a 2-3 hour drive home back to the west side of Cleveland. It was so much fun having my sister over as an overnight guest!!! On Wednesday, which was also Valentine's Day, Jeff and I came home to partial electricity. One positive thing to having partial electricity was that the side of the house that had electricity was the side the heater was on. At least it wasn't cold. On the negative side, the TV was out and I had bought Jeff The Departed DVD to watch for Valentine's Day!! We pretty much stayed in and read a few books in the guest bedroom which was the only bedroom that had lights. Pretty exciting Valentine's Day, let me tell you!!!

I am posting a few pictures I took a few weeks ago when we had our "plumbing incident". You can see the difference between the little snow we had at that time compared to what fell last week. Enjoy!

I am so sick of this cold!

I am really starting to get sick of this horrible cold weather. You know it's cold when Jeff and I were saying today "Wow, it's 24 degrees out!" like it was some kind of heat wave. I think I have been putting some kind of lotion on my body every other hour to prevent dry skin. I am so ready for spring. We typcially plan some kind of spring vacation, but this year we are trying to save our extra pennies for a new home. The housing market has really slowed down ever since these cold temps set in. I wish I could just fast forward to May when we finally can put our house on the market and hopefully at that time our dream home will become available.

We had a great weekend. On Friday, we celebrated our six year dating anniversary by having dinner at Arrabiata's where we had our first date. We then went to Arabica's in downtown Willoughby and had coffee and dessert. On Saturday, we drove down to Columbus for Jeff's friend's daughter's first birthday party. She is such a little cutie, it was great seeing them again. On Sunday, I pretty much did ten loads of laundry, went grocery shopping, and cleaned our floors. Another thing this horrible weather has been causing is nasty floors! I swear I scrub the floors and the next minute, they are filthy again. It's just a no win situation!!! If anyone has any great floor cleaning tips, please send them my way!!! :)

Happy Six Years!

Six years ago this week two sister's working at two different companies met two amazing men named Jeff. Emails would go back and forth giggling and laughing about these adorable cuties that only sister's do. Fast forward six year's and both sister's are happily married to these wonderful men. Happy Anniversary Deb!!!! Who knew that these crazy co-workers both named Jeff would turn out to be the men of our dreams???

Better Single Than Sorry

Well I am definitely NOT sorry but I have to say I am curious about Jen Schefft's new book. Jen is the infamous bachlorette who ALMOST married Andrew Firestone. I have to say I was a serious bachelor addict and in a way still am. Of course, I have since given up on the fairy tale fantasy that true love will be found, however, I still think Trista and Ryan are going to last. I still try to follow their storey and hope to see them with a little one here soon!!!!

Jen Schefft is also from where we currently live and where Jeff went to high school so even more reason to support the local girl! I will never forget the episode where Jen brought Andrew back to Cleveland and the infamous shot of her being interviewed right in front of the Mentor High School stadium. Every time Jeff and I go to a football game, I always think of that interview. Classic!!!

I couldn't be more excited that my favorite newlywed website, The Nest, is now spinning off a new website just for babies!!!
