Facebook

So I decided after a discussion with my co-workers to hop on the whole Facebook band wagon. I never got into the whole Myspace craze but feel that Facebook is a little more "mature" if that makes sense. Networking with a twist. Jeff and I both signed up this weekend since we were snowed in and completely bored out of our skulls with nothing else to do. I have to admit, it's been pretty entertaining so far. An old high school classmate that I haven't talked to in at least 15 years sent me an invitation to be her "friend." The whole thing just cracks me up but it's been fun so far. Anyone else getting into Facebook?

  1. Hi Karen!! Thanks for commenting on my blog. Our IF paths are quite similar- I had a m/c in September and am REEEALLY trying to "put it behind me" and not think about it so I can be confident and hopeful for my next IVF cycle in February! I know what you are going through, and I'm so sorry to hear it. I wish you the best and I'll check on you again soon! BTW, I too have recently gotten on the FB bandwagon! I'm still not "sold" on it though- I already talk to the people I want to, and I'm not sure if I'm missing out on the ppl I don't talk to from high school!! :)
    good luck to you!!

  3. Hi Karen,
I didn't know you lived in Mentor, I managed the Bath and Body works in the mall up there for a few months last year. It was just too far of a drive, we live down near Akron. I was amazed at the amount of snow you get up there. Hope you dug yourself out of the snow and are having a good week!

  5. Karen-I just signed up on FB last week! I feel I'm a little late to the game as well, but I joined anyway. So far, it's okay. I've gotten back in touch with some old high school friends, but of course there are others I'd rather not hear from! Look me up (Jill Phelps Waltrip).

  7. I signed up for it but never really got into it. A lot of people I know though really like it and all have said the same thing, it's really just a grown up myspace. Have fun with it!

  9. I have a Facebook account. When I look at it too often, I kind of feel like I'm creepily stalking my acquaintances. But maybe they want me to, since they added me as their friend?

  10. I have had a Facebook account for at least 3 years or more now. I love it! It is way better and more mature than Myspace. It is fun to keep in touch with those you care about from college and/or high school! You can put as little or as much information on it as you would like. Have fun! 'amber carlson jacobs'
