Ode to Target

I have found that one thing that ties most bloggers together is their love of Target. All of the blogs that I follow are written by women, and what woman does not love Target??? I thought it would be fun to share pictures of your local Target and leave comments on what you love best about your Target. Here are a few of my favorite things about my beloved Target.

Our local Target is located in beautiful Mentor, Ohio. Our store is also only a year old so I am blessed with all the modern conveniences of a new Target. In a ten mile radius, I have at least three Targets that I can entertain myself with, or if one Target is out of a particular item, I always have a few back ups to check out.

Target can also be bad for my waistline, my latest Target obsession has been to grab a cherry Icee from the food counter to enjoy during my stroll around the aisles. We'll just blame this one on pregnancy. My Target cravings over the years have varied from their freshly popped popcorn, Market Pantry gummy bears, and now the latest cherry Icee obsession.

I normally check out their clothes first, they have the cutest clothes and for very reasonable prices. I have been really loving their casual summer dresses lately. I then move on to the shoes and next the baby department. I am finally able to visit the Target baby department without bursting into tears so this has been such a blessing lately and has brought me so much enjoyment. I even picked up my first pack of diapers the other day and I think I about floated out of the store with happiness.

Last, but certainly not least, I hit the Home area. There is always something in there I am lusting after. Recently it has been their silk pillows and candle holders. And lets not forget their ever changing seasonal section.

One thing I have learned about Target is that husbands are not fans. It's so funny, if you look around, it's typically an enthusiastic girl strolling happily down the aisles followed by a less than enthusiastic man looking at his watch and trying to hurry his partner along. Jeff falls into this category of unhappy Target companions. I usually try to enjoy my Target trips either with my sister, a girl-friend, or alone. No girl likes to go to Target only to be shuffled out of there begrudgingly in five minutes.

Please share your shopping routines/loves about Target. You know we all have them!!!!!

  2. You are absolutely right. Target is my true love, I'm not sure what I ever did without it. My favorite thing about my Target is that it's new and never crowded. I hit up the dollar aisle, then the clothes, then housewares then candles & cards. Oh wait, I lie, I think I hit every department just to check their clearance sections for things I don't really need!

  3. I love Target too but rarely get to go there because we don't have one close by but I am always ordering items online from there.

  4. OMG I love Target. We have a brand new one near us, too. It's fantastic. My favorite is the home decor section, followed closely by seasonal.

  5. I love Target too! I used to go about twice a week when I worked in the burbs. Now that I'm downtown I go maybe once a month since it's a real pain to get to in the city.
