Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends!  It's been a great week!  I think it's safe to say that Fall has made it's arrival here in Cleveland.  The temps have officially dipped into the 50's and 60's and I have promptly busted out my velour and fleece SAHM staples.  Brrrr!!!!  The leaves have not started changing colors just yet, however, we live close to Lake Erie and the Lake keeps us a little on the warmer side than the rest of the city which is always a bonus this time of year.  We pay for it though in the Spring time where the Lake keeps us cooler than the rest of the city.  A little fun fact about Lake living in Cleveland for you.  As mentioned in last weeks Friday Favorites, I always take a weekly picture of my home to watch the beautiful Fall foliage change behind out home.  This picture was taken after walking Jillian to the bus stop.  No change just yet but boy was it WINDY!!!!!

Today I'm linking up with NarciErika & Andrea today for our weekly favorite things.  And if you missed What's Up Wednesday, you can read that here.

I posted this picture on Instagram yesterday and truly I am not feeling alone in this one.  So many people commented that they struggled with this too.  I think we all have good intention with this one but with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, our porches ended up looking like picture #2.  LOL!  #thestruggleisreal

{Take Care of My Hair}

I mentioned in my What's Up Wednesday post that how excited I was that I finally mastered the modern beachy wave.   I was a straight hair addict and I basically needed a 12 step program to finally put a stop to it and embrace the new curly style.  I am so glad that I did!  I love doing my hair now and it is actually EASIER for me to style than my straight hair was.  #curlingironforthewin #woohoo  My sister asked me the other day what products I used on my roots and thought I would share them with you are well.  Love, love, love both of these products.  You can buy the poor powder at your local Target or here, and also the Aquage here.

The cooler temps have certainly brought out my desire for making comfort food.  Yesterday I made my Homemade Mac and Cheese and it was a huge hit.  Any meal that all 4 of us will eat is a win in my book!!

What are your big Fall plans for the weekend?  We are hoping to visit the Holden Arboretum this weekend and I have plans for a cut and color.  Woohoo!  Hope you all have an amazing weekend!!

  2. Hooray for an Ohio blogger! I was born & raised in Columbus, so it's always nice to see someone from the Buckeye State :) Your hair looks fabulous curled! And I forgot how great the Aquage foam was. Need to buy another bottle. So glad the cooler temps have reached you! It just can't get too cold, too quick.

    Thanks for linking up with us at H54F!
