Our festivities kicked off with Jillian's Halloween party at school. I volunteered to be the Head Room Mom this year and am in charge of planning the 3 major parties. As a rookie Room Mom, pulling off my first party was a bit stressful but all in all I think it was a success. I had the idea of making Halloween Slime as a the craft which I think was both a hit and a miss. LOL! Overall, the kids had fun and I absolutely loved being able to see how Jillian interacted with her teacher and classmates. Bring on the school Christmas party!
After Jeff got home from work, we ventured off to a local pumpkin patch to pick up some last minute pumpkins to carve that evening.
The kids were really into it this year and even helped scoop out the pumpkin "guts."
After the pumpkins were cleaned out, I got to work making my favorite Halloween Treat, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds. Yummy!
On Saturday, I took Jillian to a pre trick or treat birthday party down the street and Jeff took Nicholas to the a neighbor's haunted garage party. Afterwards, we met up at home for Trick Or Treating.
With the kids getting older and the wether nicer, we stayed out almost the full 2 hours. After awhile we had to head home because the kids literally could not carry their bags anymore they were so full of candy.
Shortly after we got home, I had to put these sweet babies to bed. They were exhausted! Not to mention, so was their Mama! I wanted nothing more to just go upstairs and snuggle in bed with my babies. A perfect ending to a perfect day. Love my babies so much, so glad they enjoyed another magical Halloween, I hope yours was just as magical.
