Life Lately

Hello friends!!!  Long time no see :)  I hope you all are having an amazing Winter and excited for Spring which is surprisingly right around the corner.  We have been having a fairly mild Winter here in Cleveland which has been heavenly compared to the last 2 years.  We were due for a break from Mother Nature!!! So what HAVE we been up to these last few months?  Let's get ourselves caught up with what's been going on in our lives and get the blogging train back on track :)

What's New with Me?

Besides taking care of my family, I have been very busy running my 2 at home businesses... my Rodan + Fields business and my new Karen At Home Designs Etsy shop.  I have been trying to add more listings to my Etsy shop every spare moment I can find hence the major reason blogging has taken a back seat.  I have been learning everything I possibly can about having a successful Etsy shop and I have to honestly say I am loving it a lot more than I ever thought I would.  Who knew creating these cute little stickers could be so fun? I am officially a planner girl, not to mention, I have become a more organized Mom in the process when it comes to planning out our family calendar. It's been a lot of fun and also looking forward to incorporating my 2 passions with my blog which I am hoping to do here soon.  If any of you have an Etsy shop, I would love to hear from you!!!

What's New with the Family?

I think our Winter activities can be summed up in just a few words...Ice Skating, Hockey and Humphrey.    Jeff plays hockey all Winter long and my kids love being a part of the action.  Both babies are taking Ice Skating lessons and we have attended our fair share of the Cleveland Monsters hockey games as well.  A few weeks ago, Jeff's intramural team was able to play downtown at "The Q" which was such a fun time for all of us.

These kids are so proud of their Daddy!  As you can imagine, Nicholas is just chomping at the bit to become a hockey player like his Daddy and is doing everything he can to make it happen.  Our local ice arena held a hockey clinic for little ones who are interested in playing hockey one day and Nicholas just had to be a part of it.  Look at that sweet face!  He was so happy.

In other exciting family news, I would love to introduce you all to our new pet Hamster, Humphrey!!!  In my last post, I mentioned that Jillian's school was involved in the "One School, One book" project.  Her entire school read "The World According to Humphrey" and let's just say my sweet girl fell in love with the idea of having a pet Hamster.  She literally bugged us for weeks and after many conversations and a few tears, we gave in and adopted a Humphrey of our own.  I can pretty much guarantee there was a huge spike in Hamster sales at our local pet store because of this school project :)  I have to admit he is cute and I have been enjoying having the little guy around too.

In a nutshell, we have been keeping busy and having a wonderful Winter.  Thank you so much for stopping by and catching up, I hope to see you soon!!!
