Easy Sausage and Noodles

Hello friends!  I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday!  Winter has officially made it's appearance here in Cleveland as we gear up for another 6 inches of now tonight.  I know the kids are hoping for a snow day tomorrow, however, Mommy needs that time to do some last minute Christmas shopping!  Has Winter finally hit in your corner of the world yet?

I wanted to share with all of you an Sausage and Noodles recipe I made for my family a few weeks ago.  I modified it from a Cabbage and Noodles recipe on found on Pinterest, I knew my kids would never go for the cabbage so I modified it to our liking.  I personally thought it was both easy and delicious.  Enjoy!!!

  • 12 oz turkey sausage, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • ¼ cup salted butter
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (I used dried minced garlic from my spice rack)
  • ⅔ cup frozen peas
  • 8 oz uncooked egg noodles
  • salt to taste
How to Make It:

Cook noodles according to package directions, drain and set aside.  In a large saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil. Cook sausage until lightly browned.  Add remaining olive oil, butter, minced garlic and onion. Cook until softened, about 5 minutes.  Cook until tender (10-15 minutes). Stir in peas, noodles and salt. Cook 2-3 minutes or until heated through.

I hope you all had an amazing week!
