Weekend Recap - Easter 2017 Edition

Happy Tuesday friends!!  Did you all have a nice Easter?  We did!  The kids even had a bonus day off on Monday so we certainly made the most of our time together.  The weather was also beautiful which truly did add to the magic of the season.

On Saturday, both kids had Soccer games and then we ran a few last minute errands in preparation for Easter Sunday.   That evening we decorated Easter eggs and watched the Indians game.  The kids are getting to be such egg-sperts (lol!) at decorating eggs, it certainly is a calmer experience now that they are getting older.

On Sunday, the kids had so much fun finding Easter eggs and going through their baskets.  We ate a quick breakfast and then got ready for church.  I can proudly say this year we were all dressed and out the door ON TIME.  I think this had to be a first for us!

How cute are they?  I hadn't planned on coordinating their outfits this year but it just seemed to work out.  #winning  I can't get over how much older they are looking in this picture.  It's so bittersweet!

After church we headed over to my parents house for Easter dinner.  Holidays at my parents house is always so much fun.  With 8 grandchildren at age 8 and under, my kids have plenty of playmates and always have a blast with all of their cousins!

Nicholas is on Spring Break this week and Jillian had Monday off so we headed out on the town to have lunch with Daddy and to run a few errands.  It was too nice to stay in the house!  We stopped at Old Navy and of course had to pose with the dog.  Do your kids do this?  Every. Single. Time.  LOL!

Today Jillian is back to school and it's back to me hanging out with my little man.  I hope you all had a blessed Easter.  Have a great week!

XOXO,
Karen

  1. Your kids are adorable, Karen. Sounds like your Easter was flawless -- don't you just love when that happens? We always have Good Friday and the Monday following Easter off (Easter Monday) so it makes for a lovely, long weekend.
Today, everyone goes back to school and work so it's back to reality. Hope you enjoy the rest of Spring Break with your little man.
    Blessings!
