Crispy Roasted Chickpeas


Happy Tuesday friends!  I hope you are all having a great week.  In an effort to eat healthier and to curb my cravings for salty snacks, I decided to try this healthy alternative...Crispy Roasted Chickpeas.

I have seen this recipe pop up in my Pinterest feed a lot lately and it certainly had me intrigued.  I certainly love chickpeas in all fashions...served cold on my salad or mixed up as a hummus...eating them as a crispy and healthy snack just seemed like a win win situation! 

Ingredients:
  • 1 can Garbanzo beans
  • 1 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Pepper to taste
How to Make It:

Preheat over to 400 degrees.  Spread chickpeas on a paper towel and let dry for 30 minutes.  In a bowl, combine olive oil, garlic, garlic powder, salt and pepper.  (I chose these seasons, the options are truly endless to what you can season them with.  Pick your favorite!) Toss until fully coated.  Spread mixture onto a metal baking sheet and bake for 45-50 minutes until crispy.  Enjoy!
