Friday Favorites ~ Summer Wrap Up Edition

Hello friends!!!  Happy Friday!  Is this thing on?  LOL!  It's been awhile since I last blogged and it feels good to be back.  I decided back in May to take a bit of a blogging break over the Summer.  With it being the last Summer before Nicholas headed to Kindergarten, I wanted to take the necessary steps to eliminate a few things off of our already very busy plate.

It feels so good to be back! We are officially embarking on a VERY new season in our lives...both kids are now in school full time which means I am spending my days at home 5 days a week with NO kids.  I have be honest, it is truly a surreal feeling so far.  I spent the first day of school aimlessly walking around the house feeling like I was missing a limb.  I miss my babies!

In an effort to catch y'all up on what we have been doing, I am excited to be linking up with Erika to highlight a few of the fun things we did this Summer in a Friday Favorites style post.

Hilton Head Island

In June, my family and I headed down South to beautiful Hilton Head Island.  If you have followed my blog at all, you all know we typically vacation in Myrtle Beach each Summer.  This year we decided to try something new and I am so glad that we did!  Hilton Head is absolutely amazing!  So beautiful and family friendly.  Hilton Head is more laid back than Myrtle Beach, however, there is still so much to do.

We rented a home along a golf course within the Sea Pines plantation which also included our own pool.  That kids had a blast being able to just walk out our back door and hoping into our own private pool.  We absolutely fell in love with Hilton Head Island and can't wait to go back!

Lazy Pool Days

We are blessed to live in a neighborhood which has it's own pool and we certainly tried to take advantage of this perk every chance we got.  The kids also took swim lessons that last 2 weeks of July, I was so proud of how well they did!!  My babies are certainly turning into little fish before my eyes.

Baseball, Baseball and more Baseball

Summertime in America often means baseball and that definitely holds true in our house!  Both Jillian and Nicholas played baseball this Summer which also involved Jeff as the head coach of Jillian's team.

We spent at least 3 days a week for 2 months involved in some type of baseball activity not to mention a trip or two downtown to watch our beloved Cleveland Indians.

Baseball is certainly a big part of our lives during the Summer and the kids love being part of the fun.

It feels great to be back to blogging friends!! I hope you all had an amazing Summer and look forward to seeing you back here soon :)
