Kraft Tater Topped Casserole

I decided to try Kraft's tater topped casserole recipe featured in their fall quarterly magazine. It was actually better than I expected. Jeff and I are chicken people so I have wanted to throw something new into the rotation. The one thing I did change in this recipe is that I used lean ground turkey meat instead of ground beef. Enjoy!

Kraft Tater Topped Casserole

1 1b. ground beef (or ground turkey)
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 can (10 3/4 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/4 cup of milk
1 cup frozen mixed veggies
1 cup Kraft shredded cheddar cheese
1 1b (1/2 of 32 oz pkg) frozen bite-size Oreida tater tots

Pre heat oven to 375 degrees.
Brown meat and onion in skillet.
Spoon cooked meat mixture into 8 inch square glass baking dish
Mix soup and milk in a separate bowl, pour onto meat mixture.
Top with layers of veggies, cheese and potatoes.
Bake for 45 minutes or until potatoes are golden brown and casserole is heated through.

  1. Ohhh, I love tater tots! I'll have to try this one.

  2. Oh my word does that look good! But up in MN here it's tator-tot hotdish! Hah!
