While you were out.....

Wednesday, July 29, 2009

Several months ago, shortly after my miscarriage, I decided to give blogging a break. I was upset, heartbroken, and just want a break from everything in my life. I am in such a happier place now and wanted to document all of the wonderful things in my life that happened while I was away.

February 2009 - Wainscotting Project

With the help of our builder's Amish carpenters and Jeff's wonderful paint job, we finished off our dining room with wainscotting.

March 2009 - My Sister's Baby Shower

I actually MADE the diaper cake, I was so proud of myself. My hair is also the shortest it's ever been here. Should I keep it or grow it out? It's in that in between stage and it's driving me nuts.

March 5, 2009 - My sis had her baby 3 days after her shower at 32 wks!

Little Nicole Rae was born and she was such a little peanut!

Look at her now!!!

April 2009 - Clearwater Beach, Florida

Less than a week after we realized we were expecting again, we were left on our "Spring Break". This was our get away from infertility and miscarriage break, little did we know when we scheduled it, we would have an unexpected traveler!!!

  1. Hey, you! Sorry I didn't come over and say hi sooner. Thank you for all your sweet comments over on my blog. This post of your made me so happy...I can't tell you enough how ecstatic I am for you guys!!! I can't believe you are 18 weeks already...and that you find out the sex next week?! Awesome!!!

I don't think I told you yet, but we found out we are going to have to do IVF. Apparently I have 2 completely closed fallopian tubes. Great. You are my inspiration though:)

Congrats on your sweet Christmas bundle! I'm throwing my sister's shower next Sunday and am also making a diaper cake...any tips?!

LOVE your wainscotting! I've been wanting to do this in our dining room. Was it difficult?

Congrats on the birth of your precious niece Nicole Rae! She's adorable.

Love your precious haircut. I need one soooo badly right now. I'm a big chicken to go that length but I sure do admire it on others. ~Melissa :)

    2. Nice work on the diaper cake.
    3. Adorable niece! What's the story on the early delivery? Not that it doesn't look nice, but grow your hair out . . . after being a mom, you may change your mind so it might be your last chance!
    4. That color is gorgeous on you!
