Show Us Your Life: Wedding Reception and Honeymoom

TGIF!!! It's Friday again and it's time for another post from Kelly's Korner, "Shower Us Your Life". Today's post documents our Wedding Reception and Honeymoon. Two of the most fabulous parts of our wedding.

Our wedding reception took place at Pine Ridge Country Club. This also happens to be the place where we are having my baby shower so this place is even more special to us. The weather didn't cooperate how I had imagined a late August wedding to be, but again, this is Cleveland, so it never really does cooperate when you want it to. It was cloudy for most of the day and then the skies just completely opened into a downpour around 3:30pm. Just in time for the second half of our picture taking. We ended up hanging out at our future home together until the rain passed. The weather did finally clear up and we headed over to the reception. The picture below shows the sun coming out for the first time that. It was as if God was giving us his blessing.

Our cake was layers of Chocolate and Vanilla. I love the bow on the top!

The DJ announcing the bride and groom.

Our first dance as husband and wife. We slow danced to "At Last."

I love the sun shining through the windows, it was so beautiful.

Our honeymoon was a seven day trip to Maui and a three day trip to Kauai. Hawaii is just simply amazing, I can't say enough about it. I would love to go back one day for a milestone anniversary. Here is the view from our room at the Sheraton:

I think every Hawaiian honeymooner has this photo, the bike ride from top of the volcano:

Hi! My name is Nicole and I just came across your blog via Kelly's Korner! I just love the pictures of your wedding and honeymoon. I also wanted to say congrats on your pregnancy. I have a daugther named Jillian Noelle (obviously because its around Christmas!) and she was born in December as well. Just wanted to share that with you and wish you lots of luck!

PS I voted for Jillian as the name! lol

  2. How wonderful and gorgeous every single detail is Karen! What a dream Hawaii must be to have your honeymoon and to visit. ~Beautiful!

The grape bowls I picked up at Ross a few months ago for just a few dollars a piece. I adore SL as well. I have a previous Tablescape Thursday post that shows them better if you want to take a look. It also has a stuffed shell recipe on it. It was recent. June I believe.

All the girl names are really beautiful but something about the name "Lauren" has always seemed so classy and elegant to me. Love it!
Have fun with this process. How exciting!

    Have a great weekend. ~Melissa :)

  5. My husband has been in my life for 20+ years and I still feel my heart skip a beat when he walks in the door.
I pray that all you ladies have that feel for years to come.
