As you know, I love looking at HGTV's "Rate My Space" (What happened to that show anyway?) and came across this modern black and white master bathroom. I don't think I would ever have the guts to paint any of our rooms black, however, this is a pretty amazing space. Very well done. I have also seen a few home decor bloggers paint their spaces black like Bryn did here. What are your thoughts? Is black back?
I love black rooms. I went into an old house and they had a black dining room with a white fireplace and wide moulding. It looked beautiful. I am going to paint my two story mantel in black. It will really stand out in the room.

ReplyDeleteI was feeling brave one day and painted just the ceiling in my closet black. We figured that it wouldn't be "too much" because it was a tiny space with neutral walls and black accents...but 2 days later we bought a can of primer and painted over it!

ReplyDeleteI recently saw a decorating show on HGTV where they painted it black but it was a big room that gets lots of natural light--I think that helps. They used splashes of orange in contrast (a little contemporary for me but nonetheless, cute). I like this room as I love the toile print that goes well with it!
